During my time at Columbia University at the Institute of Human Nutrition, I worked with Dr. Harry Kissileff. The purpose of my thesis study was to examine how changes in the macronutrient composition of foods can affect subsequent food intake. Specifically, we manipulated whey protein in a "pre-meal" and measured the intake of an additional food item given ad libitum. I served as project manager and gained a tremendous amount of knowledge regarding study management, volunteer enrollment, study design, and data analysis.
